Our New Horizons Band provides a reentry point into music making for adults, including those with little instrumental musical experience. How many of you, now adults, have fond memories of happy music making during your public school and maybe even college years?
The first New Horizons program was at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York and was designed to serve the senior population there. We have no age requirements and encourage multi-generational participation. You should know that we have members who had not been players for thirty or even 40 years, and they ARE BACK! At this time we DO NOT start beginners who have no prior experience.
We are currently a course offering of the Lifelong Learning Institute, Montgomery College and supported by Riderwood Village.
The instructors for the BAND are Jack Mauro and Bette Eberly-Hill. Contacts for the band: JohnM393@aol.com or Jack at 240-499-8991
